Fintan Bolton is the founder and managing director of Bradan Quantum, which offers training and consultancy services in the field of quantum computing. His research career began with an M.Sc. at Trinity College Dublin, followed by a doctoral thesis on the theory of many-electron systems in quantum dots at Regensburg University and, subsequently, two years on an EU fellowship in the semiconductor physics group at the University of Cambridge. After many years working in the software industry, he was inspired by the remarkable potential of quantum computing technologies to re-engage with quantum physics and turn his attention to the development of quantum algorithms.
