Dr Zomorodi is an Associate Professor at Cracow University of Technology, specialising in quantum computing and artificial intelligence. Her research focuses on distributed quantum computing, quantum algorithms, quantum machine learning, neural networks, and quantum natural language processing. She has published extensively in leading international journals and conferences and has supervised numerous PhD and MSc students.
Dr Zomorodi is a recognised contributor to the quantum computing and AI communities, serving as a reviewer, guest editor, and program committee member for major journals and conferences. Her research excellence has been recognised through multiple institutional research awards.
She and her team developed the first models for optimising communication cost in distributed quantum computing, addressing one of the key challenges in scaling quantum systems. She has also contributed to the development of a generalised quantum algorithm extending the Deutsch–Jozsa framework, as well as hybrid quantum–classical machine translation methods based on the DisCoCat model of quantum natural language processing.
