Dr. Yixue Li received his Ph.D. from the Institute for Theoretical Physics, Heidelberg University, Germany, followed by postdoctoral research at the Institute for Computer Applications, University of Stuttgart, and the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL). He is currently a Professor at the School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at Guangzhou National Laboratory; Director of the Greater Bay Area Bioinformatics Center; and Vice President (Preparatory) of the Chinese Society for Bioinformatics. Dr. Li serves on expert panels for several major national projects in protein research, biosafety, common diseases, and IT@BT. As (co-)corresponding author, he has published over 300 peer-reviewed papers in top journals including Nature, Science, Cell, Nature Methods, Cancer Cell, Nature Communications, Cell Stem Cell, Genome Biology, with over 25,000 citations and an H-index of 80, he was listed among the “Top 2% Scientists Worldwide” (Stanford University, lifetime impact). In 2025, he ranked 15th in Research.com’s list of most influential genetic scientists in China.
