Dr. Surita Maini is a distinguished academician and researcher in Instrumentation and Biomedical Engineering at Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET), Punjab, where she serves as Professor and former Head of the Department of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering. She is also the Director of SLIET Innovation & Incubation Foundation and Vice Chairperson of the Institute Innovation Cell.
With over 30 years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Maini has published more than 80 research papers and holds two patents, with several others under process. Her research interests include Biomedical Engineering, Bio-optics, AI-based disease diagnosis, and Smart Materials. She is the author of the book “Robot Automation: Principles, Design & Applications” published by CRC Press.
She has been a Visiting Professor at the University of Alberta, Canada, and actively collaborates with international research institutions while contributing as a reviewer and academic leader.
